Mirage FX CPAP Mask with Headgear

The ResMed Mirage FX Nasal Mask is a nasal-style CPAP mask used for the treatment of sleep apnea, snoring, and flow limitation. A nasal mask is often recommended for people who have been prescribed CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) or auto-CPAP. Since the Mirage FX mask frame is so light, we recommend the use of SlimLine or another ultralight hose tube.

If you are a current ResMed Mirage FX nasal CPAP mask user and looking to make a change with your CPAP mask, then be sure to check out the new ResMed AirFit series of nasal, nasal pillow, headgear, and full-face masks.

The Mirage FX nasal spring air cushion provides even pressure distribution and comfort, incorporating extra softness at the nasal bridge to reduce discomfort commonly felt in this sensitive area. Mirage FX nasal CPAP mask users will also find this mask easy to use. It’s easy to clean, wear and adjust, and being one of the lightest nasal masks on the market, it won’t weigh you down.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a nasal style CPAP mask. These masks are the most prescribed and uses a triangle shaped
silicone cushion that seals around the outside of the nose only.

Will This Brand
of CPAP Mask Work with My CPAP or Bi-Level Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a nasal CPAP mask is
A7034 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is
included with your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to
clean with mild soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your
cushion seal daily to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks.
Your headgear strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room
air.

Great replacement for Ultra Mirage II

The mask that I used for yrs was discontinued and customer service suggested this as a replacement. I was hesitant at first but decided to give it a try and boy am I glad I did. The seal is great and fits very similar to my original version.
