Mirage FX and FX for Her CPAP Mask Cushion Seal

This Product DOES NOT Require a Prescription

Product Description

The Mirage FX mask cushion is a replacement silicone seal for the ResMed nasal style CPAP mask. Facial oils will build up on your mask cushion over a period of time causing the integrity of the seal to break down. When the silicone seal breaks down the mask will begin to leak air. For best results it is recommended to clean or wipe your mask down daily. Continue reading below for assistance finding the correct size cushion needed for your Mirage FX CPAP Mask.

No, CPAP mask parts and accessories do not require a
prescription for purchase. Often you can prolong the life of your CPAP mask by
replacing the cushion seals and headgear, a great cost savings!

How Do I Know Which Size Cushion to Buy?

It is very important to confirm the size of replacement mask
cushion seal for a few reasons. 1.) While most CPAP masks use a standard frame
size, some offer different sizes. 2.) Once a cushion has been opened from the original
packaging it cannot be returned. You can usually find the size of the cushion
labeled some place on your current mask, be sure to check there first. Not
sure? Feel free to use our live chat to speak with an agent for assistance.

Is This Cushion Seal Latex Free?

Yes, all CPAP mask cushions we
sell are latex free. Most cushion seals are made from soft silicone material.
For CPAP users that experience discomfort from silicone cushions there are some
masks that use cloth or memory foam material. Feel free to speak with one of
our customer service agents to find out more.

How Often Should I Replace This Cushion Seal?

Your mask cushion seal typically has a life span of 1-3 months,
however with proper care they can last up to 6 months. Signs of replacement will
be excessive mask leak and/or discoloration.

How Do I Clean My Mask Cushion Seal?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most mask cushion seals is to clean
with mild soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion
seal daily to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks.

I Want to Submit an Insurance Claim. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a nasal or full-face
cushion is A7032. For pillow cushion styles you should use HCPC code A0733.

Great replacement for Ultra Mirage II

The mask that I used for yrs was discontinued and customer service suggested this as a replacement. I was hesitant at first but decided to give it a try and boy am I glad I did. The seal is great and fits very similar to my original version.

Easy "exit" during the night

I love this one - have tried x3 options - its less inhibiting when sleeping and has an easy nose exit for late night toilet runs and drinks of water (I also use a straw making it even easier for midnight dehydration fixes)
