DreamWear Full Face CPAP Mask

This Product DOES NOT Require a Prescription

The Respironics DreamWear Full Face CPAP Mask is a new under-the-nose full face CPAP mask. This mask comes with a medium frame, which fits most facial profiles, and 4 different cushion sizes to choose from: small, medium, large and medium-wide. Philips Respironics made the DreamWear mask frame universally compatible with all DreamWear cushions, allowing you to change between a nasal, full face or a nasal pillow cushion.

What makes this mask so different? Philips Respironics’ new and exciting design includes a soft silicone frame that directs airflow through two silicone tubes to join at the full face cushion. Because it is soft and flexible, it adapts naturally to facial contours without pinching any pressure points, and it will accommodate almost any sleeping position, giving you more freedom of movement and a wide-open field of view. This is a real plus among CPAP users.

Most full face CPAP masks rest on the bridge of your nose; the DreamWear Full Face Mask fits just under the nose, providing a secure seal without all the annoying red marks on the top of your nose, so there is no discomfort or irritation in the nostrils.

Special Features

  • Silicone Frame: The soft frame directs airflow through two silicone tubes to join at the Respironics DreamWear full face cushion.
  • Under-the-Nose Cushion: The mask's full face cushion rests under the nose, providing airflow to both the mouth and nostrils without actually inserting into the nose. There is absolutely no contact on the top of the nose or at the sensitive nasal bridge. Exhalation ports on the cushion, and in the mask's elbow, quietly disperse excess air.
  • Headgear and Tubing: Soft, single-strap headgear rests at the back of the head, stabilizing the mask without requiring over-tightening or excessive contact. The tubing elbow is located on the top of the head where it can swivel freely to help reduce drag.
  • Open Field of View: The DreamWear Full Face Mask provides the user with an open field of view for reading, talking or watching TV before bed.
  • Frame Sizes: Receive the Philips Respironics DreamWear medium size, which is included with this purchase. You have the option to purchase a separate mask frame if you feel the medium is too small or too large. The options available are small, medium and large. Most users will find the medium size to be the best fit.
  • Cushion Sizes: The CPAP Masks DreamWear full face cushions are available in four sizes, small, medium, medium-wide and large, to fit a wide range of noses. All DreamWear parts are interchangeable, so any cushion will work with any Philips Respironics DreamWear size.

The CPAP Mask DreamWear is also compatible with DreamWear Nasal Cushions and DreamWear Gel Nasal Pillow Cushions, so if you want to sleep with a full face mask one night and a nasal or pillow the next night, it's easy to do! The DreamWear CPAP masks are designed to quickly and easily switch cushions without changing masks. DreamWear is designed to simplify set-up and to provide multiple interface options at home with one, easy-to-use mask. All you need is the DreamWear nasal headgear and DreamWear nasal masks, and pillow cushions for this option.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a full face style CPAP mask. These masks use a silicone cushion that provides a seal around the
nose and mouth to allow the user to breathe through both.

Will This Brand
of CPAP Mask Work with My CPAP or Bi-Level Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a full face CPAP mask
is A7030 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild
soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily
to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear
strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.

Lightweight

I require a full face mask but don’t like to feel claustrophobic. This one is lightweight and doesn't completely cover my nose so I feel less constricted at night. I did need the larger frame size but still love the mask and use it regularly.

Great for side sleepers

I’m an active, stomach/side sleeper. I've had to tighten other masks until I had marks on my face to keep them on at night. This Mask fits securely and with the tubing coming out at the top, I’m able to move around freely and comfortably without leakage or it coming off in the night. Got the FitPack to try all the sizes and was able to find the perfect fit.

Comfortable FF Mask with one big flaw

This is a comfortable mask as there's nothing on the bridge of your nose, and the air hose connects with a swivel on top of your head. The engineering on the attachment point where frame side-hoses meet the mask cushions is better than the ResMed F301, making it easier to clean the frame tube (anti-asphix check valves are not located here as with the F30i), so you can get a hose brush up there for cleaning from the end of the frame tubes. This mask doesn't have the accordion folds in the mask frame tubes like the F30i, so it's less forgiving with headgear adjustments. What killed this mask for me is that the air hose cannot be quick-disconnected with a clip in the hose to frame elbow at the top of your head. If you have to get up in the middle of the night, you have to unclip headgear and remove the whole mask. The ResMed F30i is way more convenient for me due to the way the elbow can be instantly un-clipped from the mask frame.

Great idea but bad execution

The mask idea is terrific but the execution is poor. Really hard to get a good seal for two reasons: (1) either the vents going into nose area need redesign or they need to make it smaller. The smallest one still leaks a lot. (2) In the sizer kit, M "extra wide" is horizontally wide but what's needed is increase in vertical height of the mask so that when it is under your nose it is not sitting on the edge of your lower lip! Makes me sort of slobber and uncomfortable. Too bad because I cannot tolerate the ones that sit on bridge of nose.
