Philips Respironics DreamWear Full Cushion Seal

This Product DOES NOT Require a Prescription

Product Description

The cushion seal is available in 4 sizes: Small, Medium, Medium-Wide, and Large. CPAP mask cushion seals should be replaced every 1 to 3 months, according to the manufacturers, in order to keep the best seal. Maintain a regular cleaning schedule for all your mask and accessories to ensure you receive the most effective therapy. To make the cleaning process even easier, we offer CPAP cleaning wipes which can be used to wipe away dirt and prolong the life of your CPAP supplies.

The DreamWear Full Face cushion is placed just under the nose, providing airflow to both the mouth and nostrils without actually inserting into the nose. There is absolutely no contact on the top of the nose or at the sensitive nasal bridge. Exhalation ports on the cushion, and in the mask's elbow, quietly disperse excess air.

Do I Need a Prescription for This Product?

No, CPAP mask parts and accessories do not require a
prescription for purchase. Often you can prolong the life of your CPAP mask by
replacing the cushion seals and headgear, a great cost savings!

How Do I Know Which Size Cushion to Buy?

It is very important to confirm the size of replacement mask
cushion seal for a few reasons. 1.) While most CPAP masks use a standard frame
size, some offer different sizes. 2.) Once a cushion has been opened from the original
packaging it cannot be returned. You can usually find the size of the cushion
labeled some place on your current mask, be sure to check there first. Not
sure? Feel free to use our live chat to speak with an agent for assistance.

Is This Cushion Seal Latex Free?

Yes, all CPAP mask cushions we
sell are latex free. Most cushion seals are made from soft silicone material.
For CPAP users that experience discomfort from silicone cushions there are some
masks that use cloth or memory foam material. Feel free to speak with one of
our customer service agents to find out more.

How Often Should I Replace This Cushion Seal?

Your mask cushion seal typically has a life span of 1-3 months,
however with proper care they can last up to 6 months. Signs of replacement will
be excessive mask leak and/or discoloration.

How Do I Clean My Mask Cushion Seal?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most mask cushion seals is to clean
with mild soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion
seal daily to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks.

I Want to Submit an Insurance Claim. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a nasal or full-face
cushion is A7032. For pillow cushion styles you should use HCPC code A0733.

Good fit, a bit loud

The mask fits well as I have the occasional mouth breathing issue. The clips are good for a right fit and quick release. However, I find the breathing sound much louder than other nasal masks imho.

Great idea but bad execution

The mask idea is terrific but the execution is poor. Really hard to get a good seal for two reasons: (1) either the vents going into nose area need redesign or they need to make it smaller. The smallest one still leaks a lot. (2) In the sizer kit, M "extra wide" is horizontally wide but what's needed is increase in vertical height of the mask so that when it is under your nose it is not sitting on the edge of your lower lip! Makes me sort of slobber and uncomfortable. Too bad because I cannot tolerate the ones that sit on bridge of nose.
