Amara View Full Face Fit Pack with All Cushion Sizes

Product Description

The Amara View full face CPAP mask fit-pack series is a great option for users that are new to the mask and unsure of size. The fit-pack series includes all sizes to insure you get the right fit the first time.

The Philips Amara View mask lives up to its name by giving the user the widest field of vision out of all leading full-face masks. The lack of a non traditional forehead support makes it easy to wear glasses, watch TV, and use a tablet before falling asleep. The Amara View offers an incredible under-the-nose design that, when compared to the market leaders. This design makes it the only full face mask that won’t cause red marks on the bridge of your nose.

The Amara View mask is the smallest and lightest of all the leading full-face masks and is easy to use with one modular frame for all three cushion sizes — small, medium and large. It has no bulky cushion or frame in front of your face and eyes, and it features soft and comfortable fabric straps with quick-release tabs to make it easy to put on or take off the mask. With the product’s amazingly innovative design, only Philips Respironics can offer the smallest and lightest choice with the widest field of vision out of all leading full-face masks.

Safety Tip: The Amara View utilizes magnets, which may interfere with devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and implants. As a best practice, keep them at least two inches away from all medical units.

Special Features

  • Innovative design—the Amara View mask prevents red marks, discomfort, and irritation on the bridge of your nose. Since it’s not designed like many full-face masks are, the mask sitting on your nose ensures the air pressure reaches your mouth and nose by condensing the area the air needs to travel.
  • Widest field of vision—you no longer have to feel as though, once your CPAP mask is on, you cannot do anything but sleep. With nothing in the way of your eyes, you can wear glasses, read, and watch TV without limiting your CPAP usage or nightly routine.
  • One Universal Size Frame - the one frame size of the Philips Respironics Amara View full-face mask allows you to save time and money. No need to purchase the entire mask when you need a different-size cushion. Simply check the sizing guide in our “Manuals” tab, and find the cushion you need.
  • Minimal contact—the CPAP mask Amara View design offers a comfortable and nonintrusive experience. Sleep apnea is properly addressed with the innovative, minimal-contact full-face mask design.

Helpful Tips

  • Tip 1: The Amara View CPAP mask should rest comfortably against your face. The cushion nostril opening goes under your nostrils. The headgear should be away from your eyes. The bottom of the mask cushion should rest just above your chin with your mouth slightly open. Get a comfortable fit by choosing among small, medium, large variants of the Philips Respironics Amara View Full-Face Mask.
  • Tip 2: The most common mistake is overtightening the headgear. The headgear should fit loosely and comfortably. If your skin bulges around the mask or if you see red marks on your face, loosen the headgear. The Philips Respironics Amara View minimal contact design allows enough space—no need to overtighten the mask.
  • Tip 3: When fitting, assume different sleeping positions; move around until comfortable. If there are any excessive air leaks, make final adjustments. Some air leaking in the full-face mask is normal.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a full face style CPAP mask. These masks use a silicone cushion that provides a seal around the
nose and mouth to allow the user to breathe through both.

Will This Brand
of CPAP Mask Work with My CPAP or Bi-Level Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a full face CPAP mask
is A7030 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild
soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily
to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear
strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.

Too noisy for me

This mask is relatively comfortable, although somewhat difficult to get the fit "just right" on my face every night so that the air coming out of the tiny holes in front isn't blowing straight into my eyes. I found the airflow sounds to be extremely noisy, compared to the AirTouch F20.

Great mask

I was unsure what my size was when I started looking to order masks with cushions. This fit pack provided me with multiple sizes that I could use to determine my true size. I know that other masks also have fit packs as well but I just couldn't help but be drawn to this one. For being a full face the cushion is quite small compared to some of the other full face masks. The headgear also looks and felt very supportive and stayed on my face when I slept. I appreciate this mask and how it has worked for me.

All night comfort

Since switching to this mask, I have not switched back! I’ve had issues with irritation on the bridge of my nose with other masks and had to use mask liners but with this design, I no longer have that problem. The cushion is soft and fits my face nicely making it comfortable all night.

Less bulky

I like being able to wear my glasses and read before bed. It’s less bulky than other masks and stays on well without feeling too restricting. Works great for me.

Best Mask

This is the best mask I have ever had! I've been wearing the Amara View mask for over 3 years. I'm a side sleeper and this always stays in place. (Hint: Sleep on the edge of your pillow with the mask hanging over.)
