Amara View Full Face Replacement Headgear

This Product DOES NOT Require a Prescription

Product Description

The Philips Respironics Amara View headgear strap is the replacement harness that holds the CPAP system in place and connect to the frame. It has a soft, comfortable fabric strap with quick release tabs for easy on and off, making it a quick disconnect. A sign that your headgear strap needs to be replaced would be the lack of fit and noticeable leak even with adjusting the strap. If you find yourself constantly over tightening the harness it will cause discomfort and leave marks on your face.

Headgear clips are not included with this product.

Do I Need a Prescription for This Product?

No, mask parts do not require a prescription for purchase. Often
you can prolong the life of your CPAP mask by replacing the headgear, a great
cost savings!

How Do I Know Which Headgear Size to Buy?

It is very important to confirm the correct model and size
of replacement mask headgear. 1.) While most CPAP masks use a standard headgear
size, some offer different sizes. 2.) Once a headgear has been opened from the original
packaging it cannot be returned. You can usually find the size of the headgear labeled
in the fabric, be sure to check there first. Not sure? Feel free to use our
live chat to speak with an agent for assistance.

How Often Should I Replace My Headgear?

Your mask cushion seal typically has a life span of 1-3 months,
however with proper care they can last up to 6 months. Signs of replacement will
be excessive mask leak and/or discoloration.

How Do I Clean My Mask Headgear?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most headgear straps is to handwash and
let air dry. DO NOT PUT HEADGEAR IN DRYER. It is important to clean your headgear
weekly to remove oils, makeup or dirt that can lead to mask leaks.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a CPAP mask headgear is
A7035.

Too noisy for me

This mask is relatively comfortable, although somewhat difficult to get the fit "just right" on my face every night so that the air coming out of the tiny holes in front isn't blowing straight into my eyes. I found the airflow sounds to be extremely noisy, compared to the AirTouch F20.

All night comfort

Since switching to this mask, I have not switched back! I’ve had issues with irritation on the bridge of my nose with other masks and had to use mask liners but with this design, I no longer have that problem. The cushion is soft and fits my face nicely making it comfortable all night.

Less bulky

I like being able to wear my glasses and read before bed. It’s less bulky than other masks and stays on well without feeling too restricting. Works great for me.

Perfect for me

I needed a petite size cushion and had a hard time finding a full face mask that offered this. I tried multiple smalls and one x-small in other masks but still couldn’t find one that fit me right with no leaks. My doctor recommended this one, and I am so glad she did. It’s very comfortable, no leaks and lightweight for a full mask. I’ve tried both the silicone and gel cushion, and find the gel conforms to my face better.

Don’t Buy This

I have always used an airfit mask but decided to try the Amara, big mistake. I wear a medium but the clerk said all masks sizes are different. She measured me as small, wrong. It barely covered my mouth and leaked air around. The masked caused acne on the bridge of my nose and was a nightmare trying to put the strap on after your trip to the bathroom. What a total waste of $100.
