Helpful Tips

Tip 1: The mask should rest comfortably against your face. The cushion nostril opening goes under your nostrils. The headgear should be away from your eyes. The bottom of the mask cushion should rest just above your chin with your mouth slightly open.

Tip 2: The most common mistake is over-tightening the headgear. The headgear should fit loosely and comfortably, if your skin bulges around the mask or if you see red marks on your face, loosen the headgear.

Tip 3: When fitting, assume different sleeping positions, move around until comfortable, if there are any excessive air leaks, make final adjustments. Some air leaking is normal.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a full face style CPAP mask. These masks use a silicone cushion that provides a seal around the
nose and mouth to allow the user to breathe through both.

Will This Brand
of CPAP Mask Work with My CPAP or Bi-Level Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a full face CPAP mask
is A7030 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild
soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily
to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear
strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.

Too noisy for me

This mask is relatively comfortable, although somewhat difficult to get the fit "just right" on my face every night so that the air coming out of the tiny holes in front isn't blowing straight into my eyes. I found the airflow sounds to be extremely noisy, compared to the AirTouch F20.

All night comfort

Since switching to this mask, I have not switched back! I’ve had issues with irritation on the bridge of my nose with other masks and had to use mask liners but with this design, I no longer have that problem. The cushion is soft and fits my face nicely making it comfortable all night.

Less bulky

I like being able to wear my glasses and read before bed. It’s less bulky than other masks and stays on well without feeling too restricting. Works great for me.

Best Mask

This is the best mask I have ever had! I've been wearing the Amara View mask for over 3 years. I'm a side sleeper and this always stays in place. (Hint: Sleep on the edge of your pillow with the mask hanging over.)
