AirSense Disposable Replacement Filter

This Product DOES NOT Require a Prescription

Product Description

The disposable replacement filters are designed specifically to be used with the ResMed AirSense™ CPAP machines or ResMed AirCurve™ VPAP machines as well as the ResMed S9 Series Machines. The length, width, and height are specific to these devices and allow the air to be properly filtrated by the machine. The machines pull from the room air when providing the user a positive airway pressure and the filter is the last line of defense for air pollutants.

The recommended replacement is monthly and should be followed as a dirty filter can cause the machine to malfunction and in some severe cases cause complete failure. The replacement of the filters monthly also ensures the user is being provided with the best quality of air possible.

How Often Should I Replace My Filters?

To make sure that the air quality you breathe during the
night is high and safe, you need to replace or clean the CPAP filters
periodically. If you have pets, have someone in your home who smokes, or have a
wood-burning stove, you will need to replace the filters more regularly. Disposable
CPAP filters should be replaced every 1-3 months. You cannot reuse them. You
will want to change the disposable in-line bacteria filters every 30 days.

Reusable filters should be replaced every 12-24 months depending
on routine maintenance.

How Do I Clean My Machine Filter?

Unless your machine uses a reusable filter, it is recommended
to dispose of the CPAP filter and not attempt to clean and reuse. Disposable filters
are typically made of a thin white material and should be disposed/replaced
when noticeable build up can be seen or it has been 3 months. Reusable filters
are made of foam-like material and can be cleaned by hand and left to air dry.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for disposable CPAP
filters is A7038. The HCPC code for reusable CPAP filters is A7039.

Do I Need a Prescription for This Product?

No, machine and mask parts do not require a prescription for
purchase. Often you can prolong the life of your CPAP machine by replacing your
CPAP filter on a frequent basis!

Worth it

I tried using the cleanable ones but they didn't seem to work as well after the initial use. The price of the disposables is cheap enough I don't mind throwing it away each month and I know that my machine isn't working harder trying to get air through a dirty filter.

Amazing!

These filters make a difference. I change these on time all of the time. I did not change my filters so often with my last CPAP machine, and its performance dropped and eventually quit working before its time. These filters ensure that the air you breathe is cleaner, that the prescribed pressures are delivered to your mask, and keeps the machine clean for a long life. Change your filters, it is worth it. These filter are a great value for the price, and they are worth every one of the five stars I give them.
