ResMed AirFit N30i Nasal CPAP Mask Fit Pack

Please Note: The following cushions are included in the fit pack option: Small, Medium, and Small-Wide.

Product Description

ResMed has long been known for designing the most comfortable CPAP mask interfaces on the market and the streak continues with the new AirFit series N30i nasal style CPAP mask. The N30i is unique in the sense that it could be called a nasal pillow OR nasal mask. The curved cradle cushion offers a seal that is less invasive and unlike a nasal pillow, it does not use inserts that go directly into the nostrils. The minimal parts to this mask make it lightweight and the CPAP user barely notices it there as opposed to traditional style nasal masks that tend to be bulky with too much weight.

The top of the head tube design is one of the most notable features as it allows the user to sleep in any position without the interference of tubing that can sometimes get tangled in the bed. The tubing that connects to the elbow connector at the top of the head delivers air pressure throughout the mask frame on both sides. If a user sleeps on one side and reduces pressure on that side the CPAP pressure is compensated to deliver on the unobstructed side.

PLEASE READ: It is important to note that the AirFit N30i is compatible with any manufacturer of standard CPAP, Auto CPAP, or Bi-Level devices such as Philips Respironics and Fisher Paykel HOWEVER it is not compatible with certain travel CPAP machines such as the ResMed AirMini unless the ZephAir adapter is purchased separately.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a nasal style CPAP mask. These masks are the most prescribed and uses a triangle shaped
silicone cushion that seals around the outside of the nose only.

Will This Brand
of CPAP Mask Work with My CPAP or Bi-Level Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a nasal CPAP mask is
A7034 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is
included with your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to
clean with mild soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your
cushion seal daily to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks.
Your headgear strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room
air.

New nose cushion

This cushion is not as durable as the initial version for the N30i mask. ResMed tried to improve it with softer rubber, but the change resulted in a much higher air leak numbers, and it is more difficult to stay in place during the night. Getting the mask-leak numbers down has proven impossible given the very soft cushion with no stiffener. Unfortunately, it seems that the original cushions are no longer available. This needs to be fixed for more user compliance.

Not as good as the initial version

Resmed tried to improve this iteration by going with the softer materials, this helps in one way however the integrity of the mask isn't there anymore many times started experiencing leaks as it lost the support it used to have in the initial version. Also the softer materials tend to rip easily during cleaning already in my fourth purchase in the less than 6 months. Please fix it.

Not all changes are 'improvements'

This cushion is not as durable as the initial version for the N30i mask. ResMed tried to improve it with softer rubber and a pad of material to suppress noise. The result is more comfort, much higher air leak numbers, and more difficult cleaning. I have to soak these cushions in soap solutions for several hours, then use a WaterPik to rinse the holes and anti-noise cushion in order to keep it from smelling bad after a few days. And getting the mask-leak numbers down has proven impossible given the very soft cushion with no stiffener. Unfortunately, the original cushions are no longer available.

Need an extra small!

The small is too big and leaks. Have tried for two years to get an extra small to no avail. It is soft and the most comfortable I have tried just not the right fit for my face.
