ResMed Ultra Mirage Full Face CPAP Mask Kit

The ResMed Ultra Mirage full face CPAP mask is an older generation of sleep apnea interfaces to treat sleep disordered breathing. This type of CPAP mask style covers both the mouth and nose allowing the user to breathe through either. The Ultra Mirage Full is a great option for people that are on higher CPAP or Bi-Level pressures as it allows to breathe against the pressure easier. If you have a deviated septum a full face style mask is the preferred option.

The ResMed Ultra Mirage full face mask offers an effective CPAP mask solution. If you have allergies or just want a sleep apnea mask that you can wear when you're congested or have a cold, the Ultra Mirage full face mask from ResMed is the answer. Around 40% of CPAP users and almost all bi-level users lose treatment pressure through their mouths, either by mouth breathing or mouth leak. This pressure loss can result in flu-like symptoms, less effective therapy, and poor sleep. The Ultra Mirage full face mask stops this loss so you get more comfortable and effective therapy.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a full face style CPAP mask. These masks use a silicone cushion that provides a seal around the
nose and mouth to allow the user to breathe through both.

Will This Brand
of CPAP Mask Work with My CPAP or Bi-Level Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a full face CPAP mask
is A7030 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild
soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily
to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear
strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.
