Swift LT with Optional Headgear

The Swift LT is a nasal pillow style of CPAP mask used for the treatment of snoring, upper airway resistance and sleep apnea. The Swift LT and LT for Her are older generations of sleep apnea interfaces and have been updated to the AirFit P10 and P10 for Her nasal pillow CPAP masks.

A nasal pillow style mask uses a small silicone inserts that seals around the nostril to provide air that is delivered by your CPAP or VPAP machine. The mask is compromised of 3 components, the frame, cushion and headgear strap which is optional (additional fees apply). Over time these parts will need to be replaced from normal wear and tear; and indicator of which is excessive mask leaking even after cleaning.

This is a nasal pillow style CPAP mask. These masks are the least invasive and use silicone pillows that seal in or around the outside of the nostril only.

Will This Brand of Mask Work with Any CPAP Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a nasal pillow CPAP mask is A7034 and A7035.

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.
