Rio Replacement Headgear

The Rio headgear by React Health is a replacement strap that is used with the Rio nasal pillow CPAP mask. It is adjustable and lightweight giving you a comfortable fit with every use. The headgear strap attaches to the mask frame to secure the mask in place during sleep. It is recommended to hand wash and air dry. Once the strap begins to lose elasticity it is an indicator that it is time to replace.

No, mask parts do not require a prescription for purchase. Often you can prolong the life of your CPAP mask by replacing the headgear, a great cost savings!

How Do I Know Which Headgear Size to Buy?

It is very important to confirm the correct model and size of replacement mask headgear.

1.) While most CPAP masks use a standard headgear size, some offer different sizes.

2.) Once a headgear has been opened from the original packaging it cannot be returned. You can usually find the size of the headgear labeled in the fabric, be sure to check there first.

How Often Should I Replace My Headgear?

Your mask cushion seal typically has a life span of 1-3 months, however with proper care they can last up to 6 months. Signs of replacement will be excessive mask leak and/or discoloration.

How Do I Clean My Mask Headgear?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with your mask system. The rule of thumb for most headgear straps is to handwash and let air dry. DO NOT PUT HEADGEAR IN DRYER. It is important to clean your headgear weekly to remove oils, makeup or dirt that can lead to mask leaks.
