The Deluxe Chin Strap is designed with a wider coverage area when strapping around the chin and top of the head. The wider strap can help a user with keeping the chin strap on as it makes a greater contact with the general area of the head and chin.

Philips Respironics Deluxe Chin Strap is an alternative for the user that has a tendency to breath out of the mouth while using a CPAP or Bi-Level. The machine provides a positive airway pressure and at time, can cause a user to use their mouth when breathing. This will help in keeping the mouth closed.

Very pleased with comfort and results. Best of those I have tried!

I have found that a nasal cpap mask give me the best results. I am, however, a mouth breather and that causes excessive leak of the cpap measured parameter although my AHI index remains excellent. After trying other devices, I have found that this chin strap works extremely well and is quite comfortable. My measured leak is quite low now, some days my device records no leak. I have also found it best, for me, to wear the chinstrap under the mask as oposed to over the mask as described in the instructions. It is worthwhile to try more than one device, especially if 'you' are not pleased with the first one you try. I, myself, am quite pleased. The wider strap works well and is comfortable I find.

Being wider is a plus keeping in place through the night. It's comfortable and does the job. A must have for a mouth breather!

Pros and Cons

There are things I like about this product and things I don't like. It certainly does the job of keeping my mouth close but on the down side it is bulky. I wish it wasn't white because it get dirty pretty easy.
