Philips Respironics Nuance Mask with Optional Headgear

The Philips Respironics Nuance Gel and Nuance Pro are nasal pillow CPAP masks that are available in two styles of mask frame material. The optional headgear add-on item will make this a complete mask system. If you are unsure of your pillow size you can choose to add all to find the right size for you. The Nuance Pro uses a soft fabric frame while the Nuance Gel uses a silicone gel frame. The unique gel pillow nasal cushions offer a high level of comfort while providing a perfect seal around the nostril to prevent CPAP mask leak. This interface style is light weight and one of the least invasive CPAP masks on the market.

Special Features

  • Gel Cushions - Less nostril discomfort and irritation while conforming specifically to your nostrils.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a nasal pillow style CPAP mask. These masks are the least invasive and use silicone pillows that
seal in or around the outside of the nostril only.

Will This Brand
of Mask Work with Any CPAP Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a nasal pillow CPAP
mask is A7034 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild
soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily
to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear
strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.
