4 Pack - Disposable Filters ICON CPAP

This Product DOES NOT Require a Prescription

Product Description

These disposable filters for the Fisher and Paykel ICON Auto CPAP Machines are designed to only work with the specified machine. The filter will properly fill the air pressure intake compartment on the back of the machine. The CPAP uses room air to provide the user with positive air pressure through the use of its SensAwake auto adjusting algorithm technology and a breathing tube, and the filter keeps any air pollutants from entering the air being sent to the user to ensure safe, restful sleep in comfort.

Filters for the ICON Auto CPAP Machine are meant to be used for approximately 1 month of sleep apnea treatment at a time and should be replaced. These Fisher Paykel filters are not cleanable, so if your filter suffers water damage or becomes dirty or torn, the best solution is to throw it away and replace it with a new one. A dirty filter will cause the machine to malfunction and in extreme cases, lead to complete failure.

Remember to change your filter regularly and to always wash your humidifier water chamber daily to ensure you continue to be able to access the therapy services your machine provides to you. your CPAP’s humidification algorithm will only function properly with a clean filter.

Additionally, replace your AirSpiral breath tube with ThermoSmart technology every one to three months, or as needed, to ensure the best performance of your continuous positive airway pressure device. Always use approved part technologies of the correct design with your devices to ensure your manufacturer warranty stays intact and that patients receive access to the appropriate air flow, especially if making use of a ramp pressure or humidity control feature.

How Often Should I Replace My Filters?

To make sure that the air quality you breathe during the
night is high and safe, you need to replace or clean the CPAP filters
periodically. If you have pets, have someone in your home who smokes, or have a
wood-burning stove, you will need to replace the filters more regularly. Disposable
CPAP filters should be replaced every 1-3 months. You cannot reuse them. You
will want to change the disposable in-line bacteria filters every 30 days.

Reusable filters should be replaced every 12-24 months depending
on routine maintenance.

How Do I Clean My Machine Filter?

Unless your machine uses a reusable filter, it is recommended
to dispose of the CPAP filter and not attempt to clean and reuse. Disposable filters
are typically made of a thin white material and should be disposed/replaced
when noticeable build up can be seen or it has been 3 months. Reusable filters
are made of foam-like material and can be cleaned by hand and left to air dry.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for disposable CPAP
filters is A7038. The HCPC code for reusable CPAP filters is A7039.

Do I Need a Prescription for This Product?

No, machine and mask parts do not require a prescription for
purchase. Often you can prolong the life of your CPAP machine by replacing your
CPAP filter on a frequent basis!

Nice filters for a nice machine! Easy to replace and last a decently long time.
