Hans Rudolph V2 Full Face Mask with Headgear

The Hans Rudolph V2 full face CPAP mask has been redesigned to be ultimately more comfortable and to provide a stable seal for a wider array of facial profiles. These improvements include incorporating a membrane inside the cushion for an improved seal. In addition, the cushion surface features a series of flanges around the base and is constructed of a thinner, softer and more comfortable silicone material. Two structural braces have been added to aid in cushion stability. Finally, the CO 2 vents were moved from the bridge of the nose to just above the anti-asphyxia valve, pointing the airflow perpendicular to the body.

Other improvements include no forehead support, single-molded mask frame and cushion that are made of easy contouring silicone rubber. The one piece design and soft material allows for greater flexibility through a broad range of 5 different mask sizes.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a full face style CPAP mask. These masks use a silicone cushion that provides a seal around the nose and mouth to allow the user to breathe through both.

Will This Brand of Mask Work with Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a full face CPAP mask is A7030 and A7035.

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.
