Cleanable Water Tank for ResMed S8 Series

The cleanable water chamber tub for the H4i™ heated humidifier is the container located in the front of your ResMed S8 series of CPAP or VPAP machines. This cleanable model allows the user to easily remove the tub for a deep cleaning of any corrosive mineral build up. It is recommended to use distilled water to avoid calcium and lime build up that may occur from the use of standard tap water. For best results you should change the water daily.

Please Note: The machine pictured next to the water chamber above includes the H4i Water Chamber Top Lid and Seal and is NOT included with this purchase.

Can I Use Tap Water to Fill My CPAP Humidifier Water Tank?

It is recommended to always use distilled water for your CPAP humidifier. Bottled or tap water contains harsh minerals that can cause buildup and damage your equipment.

How Often Should I Fill the CPAP Water Tank?

The frequency to fill or change your water can be dependent on multiple factors including time of year and your machine settings. Typically, in summer months you will notice the use of your air conditioner may slow the rate of your CPAP water use while wintertime will make you fill it daily.

How do I Clean the Water Chamber Tank?

You should clean the water chamber regularly. A good method is to wash it with a solution of mild dish soap and warm water, then rinse it thoroughly. You can also soak it in a solution of one part white vinegar to two parts water for 10 minutes before rinsing well.

Why is it Important to Clean My CPAP Equipment?

Bacteria and mold build up is possible if the right CPAP cleaning procedures are ignored. Failure to clean or replace your supplies can lead to illness.
