Product Description

The Fisher Paykel Eson 2 nasal CPAP mask kit is the frame and cushion set with the option to add the headgear to make a complete mask system. It is comfortable and easy-to-use and builds on the outstanding success of the first generation Eson nasal mask. The optional head gear uses two straps that attach to the upper frame and two straps that attach to the lower frame. There is a strap that goes across the top of the head to hold the mask securely in place through an sleep position changes.

The Eson 2 is a nasal style which means it covers the outside of the nose only as opposed to a nasal pillow mask which inserts pillows into the nostrils. A nasal style mask is often recommended for users on CPAP or Auto CPAP and for pressure settings less than 14cm/H2O. People that are on bi-level machine or have been prescribed a high CPAP pressure setting should consider a full face style that allows the user to breathe through the nose and mouth.

Special Features and Benefits

  • RollFit Seal: The RollFit Seal is designed to deliver a precise fit and effective seal by automatically adjusting on the bridge of the nose. The Rollfit Seal technology automatically adjusts to effectively fit a wide variety of faces
  • Intuitive Headgear: This high quality headgear provides fitting options for patients, including the ability to stretch the mask directly over the head.
  • Easy Frame: The Easy Frame which fits all three seal sizes now has a narrower profile. This provides a clearer line of sight while retaining seal stability.
  • VisiBlue: Blue highlights incorporated into key mask components assist patients with mask use, orientation, disassembly and reassembly.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a nasal style CPAP mask. These masks are the most prescribed and uses a triangle shaped
silicone cushion that seals around the outside of the nose only.

Will This Brand
of CPAP Mask Work with My CPAP or Bi-Level Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a nasal CPAP mask is
A7034 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is
included with your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to
clean with mild soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your
cushion seal daily to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks.
Your headgear strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room
air.
