ComfortGel Blue Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear

The Philips Respironics ComfortGel Blue full face CPAP mask is prescribed for the treatment of sleep apnea, snoring, and sleep related breathing disorders. The full face style covers both the nose and mouth allowing the user to breathe through either. This type of interface is most suited for users on high CPAP pressures (greater than 14cm/H2O), bi-level therapy. This style is also the preferred mask of people that have a deviated septum.

The ComfortGel Blue gel cushion offers a high level or comfort and provides a great seal to prevent CPAP mask leak. The interface is held in place by a headgear strap that attaches to mask frame. The 360 degree swivel allows the user the freedom to switch sleep positions without resistance. This mask is one of the all-time best sellers of the Philips Respironics sleep apnea interfaces.

Special Features and Benefits

  • Exhalation ports - The exhalation ports have been re-designed to allow for an even quieter mask. The ports are angled away from your face and designed to disperse the air as quietly as possible.
  • New Elbow design - The elbow now has a 360 degree swivel connection which allows you more freedom of movement. Now you can easily swing the tube up behind your pillows or back and forth across your chest without compromising your seal and fit.
  • Premium Forehead Pad - The forehead pad is larger and thicker which even adds more comfort than before. The stability selector located between the forehead pad support and mask adjusts easily allowing users to find the best fit.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a full face style CPAP mask. These masks use a silicone cushion that provides a seal around the
nose and mouth to allow the user to breathe through both.

Will This Brand
of CPAP Mask Work with My CPAP or Bi-Level Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a full face CPAP mask
is A7030 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild
soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily
to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear
strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.
