What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a nasal pillow style CPAP mask. These masks are the least invasive and use silicone pillows that
seal in or around the outside of the nostril only.

Will This Brand
of Mask Work with Any CPAP Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a nasal pillow CPAP
mask is A7034 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild
soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily
to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear
strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.

Great machine, but weak mask design

This machine is the absolute BEST I have ever used. It is comfortable, and easy to use daily or when traveling. HOWEVER, the mask kit (Airfit P10) has a fatal design flaw, which necessitates replacing the entire mask set frequently at great expense. One of the connecting plastic bits attaching the hose and the nasal portion is easily cracked, causing loss of air through the mask as you sleep. I have had the machine for 4 years, and have had to replace the entire mask set 6 times for the exact same reason because it is not possible to simply replace the weak connector. Since I like the machine so much, I continue to pay the exorbitant mask replacement price, but I think a redesign of the connector is essential.

Great but can only be bought in this expensive set

The mask itself is great. I haven't experienced any issues with it cutting into my lip or being uncomfortable. That said, the headgear cannot be tightened or loosened, so when you first wear it, it's a little tight. After a few months, it's a little loose and less reliable. The headgear will wear out much faster than the replacement nasal pillows, in fact, but you have to buy this set instead of just new headgear! More expensive and wasteful that way.

Comfort finally!

For me this airfit p10 mask is incredibly light and comfortable. I sleep on my side and have no issues whatsoever. The little airmini machine is so great and convenient! I now have no issues when I travel! Thank you!

Too painful to wear, much less sleep

I bought this setup to use with my airmini as I use a similar nasal pillow/cannula for my Airsense 10, thinking that the similarity would make it easy to adjust to using. After experimenting with the different nasal pillow sizes, I could not find a size that was comfortable for me, as I constantly felt a sharp plastic line digging into my upper lip just below my nose. This is exacerbated by the fact that the head-band is self-tightening, and so there is no way to adjust the pressure from the mask to a tolerable level. The pain was bad enough as to prevent me from sleeping with wearing the mask. If Resmed can remedy the "plastic ridge" feeling from the mask under the nose (Resmed: hint, test wearing the mask while laying on your back), then this product would be usable.
