AirFit N10 for Her CPAP Mask

AirFit N10 for Her is a nasal CPAP mask made by ResMed. This model is designed specifically for women. This mask includes the frame and cushion only but you can add the headgear to make a complete CPAP mask system. Nasal style masks are sleep apnea interfaces that cover the nose only and provide a seal for pressurized air delivered from a CPAP or bi-level device. The magnetic headgear clips are included with the AirFit N10 for Her Mask and allow for quick release or connection of the headgear to the mask frame.

Special Features and Benefits

  • Magnetic Headgear clips: Magnets are inside the headgear clips and frame of the AirFit N10 for Her. Once looped through, the headgear is only a snap away from being connected. This makes taking the mask off and placing back on during the night very easy. There is a lip on the opposite side of the clip, keeping the magnet in place even under the tightest headgear configurations, so there is no problems with it slipping.
  • Spring Air Dual-Wall Cushion: The AirFit N10 nasal cushion has a dual wall system which promotes consistency. The outer wall seals while the inner wall stabilizes. It features a clip which is used to quickly release the cushion from the mask frame. The N10 mask for Her is in size small.
  • Minimal Contact Points: The upper arms of the AirFit N10 for Her frame are designed in a curved pattern which hover over the cheeks, allowing for minimal contact with the face.
  • Circular Venting: The N10 frame has a ring of small exhalation ports which directs the air in various directions away from the user and bed partner.
  • Soft Edge Headgear: The optional headgear aims to provide a comfortable, stable fit and promote a proper seal. The very Soft headgear reduces the chance of red marks. The headgear has four points of adjustment for an optimal fit. The crown strap which sits on top of the head adds stability and helps maintain cushion placement. The AirFit N10 headgear for Her is gray on the outer side and pink on the inner side.
  • Soft Wraps Included Soft wraps are included with the AirFit N10 for Her and are placed over the clear silicone frame, they add comfort to your face if it should rest against your cheeks.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a nasal style CPAP mask. These masks are the most prescribed and uses a triangle shaped silicone cushion that seals around the outside of the nose only.

Will This Brand of CPAP Mask Work with My CPAP or Bi-Level Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a nasal CPAP mask is A7034 and A7035.

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.
