Replacement Headgear for ResMed AirFit F40

This Product DOES NOT Require a Prescription

Product Description

The replacement headgear for the all-new ResMed AirFit F40 full face CPAP is available in 3 different sizes, small, standard and large. Although there are similarities to the previously released AirFit F30 CPAP Mask by ResMed, this headgear is ONLY compatible with the new F40 Mask. If you have any questions, contact one of our customer service representatives and they can assist you in finding the appropriate part you are looking for.

ResMed understands the hassle of trying to find a comfortable and secure fit when connecting your mask so they designed this headgear to utilize magnetic clips and Velcro end straps. These allow you to quickly and effectively remove your CPAP Mask and re-attach without searching for the same comfortable fit as the night before.

Safety Tip: This product utilizes magnets which may interfere with devices such as: pacemakers, defibrillators, and implants. Speak with your physician before using this product.

Do I Need a Prescription for This Product?

No, mask parts do not require a prescription for purchase. Often
you can prolong the life of your CPAP mask by replacing the headgear, a great
cost savings!

How Do I Know Which Headgear Size to Buy?

It is very important to confirm the correct model and size
of replacement mask headgear. 1.) While most CPAP masks use a standard headgear
size, some offer different sizes. 2.) Once a headgear has been opened from the original
packaging it cannot be returned. You can usually find the size of the headgear labeled
in the fabric, be sure to check there first. Not sure? Feel free to use our
live chat to speak with an agent for assistance.

How Often Should I Replace My Headgear?

Your mask cushion seal typically has a life span of 1-3 months,
however with proper care they can last up to 6 months. Signs of replacement will
be excessive mask leak and/or discoloration.

How Do I Clean My Mask Headgear?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most headgear straps is to handwash and
let air dry. DO NOT PUT HEADGEAR IN DRYER. It is important to clean your headgear
weekly to remove oils, makeup or dirt that can lead to mask leaks.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a CPAP mask headgear is
A7035.

My Favorite Mask So Far

I have been a loyal user of full-face masks for approximately ten years since commencing my ASV therapy journey. However, despite trying various sizes and configurations, including both silicone and foam options, I have never found them to be particularly comfortable. Initially, I was somewhat hesitant to believe that a pillow-type mask could offer a superior experience, but I was determined to give it a chance in the hopes of discovering a more enjoyable and comfortable solution. The F40 model has exceeded my expectations and proven to be significantly more comfortable than its predecessors, the F20 and F30.

Very Comfortable Mask

I'm new to to cpap therapy, it was hard to get used to my previous mask F30. After changing to the F40, I was finally able to sleep. I think the problem is my nose is quite flat and air was leaking out of the F30. For some reason, in the same size, F40 provides a better seal and it much more comfortable. Air is still leaking occasionally but it's not so bad. Sometimes adjusting too tight is also not good.

Comfortable Headgear

I really like how the clips are magnetic on this headgear. Not only that but the headgear itself is soft. I used to hate the way headgear felt on my face and so far this one has been the best one for me. The mask itself is really good as well.

Happy I made the change from my F20

Better than the F20 mask I had been using. It is lighter weight, easier to adjust, and my scores are consistently better with this new design. The mask is easy to adjust and I find I have less air leakage. Overall. I think this has improved the quality of my sleep and I am happy I made the switch.
