ResMed AirFit F20 Headgear

This Product DOES NOT Require a Prescription

If you're looking to take the comfort and convenience of your CPAP mask to the next level, look no further than the ResMed AirFit F20 headgear, which combines fit and style for comfort, gentleness, and reliability.

Overview

The ResMed AirFit F20 headgear is designed to give you that extra softness and stability that is so important for a good fit of your AirTouch F20 Full Face CPAP mask. The flat straps of the headgear are designed to avoid digging into the skin or leaving red marks and irritation as it holds the cushion to your face. And because they're so low-profile, the mask with headgear won't interfere with sleep. No matter how you move your head, it will be nearly impossible to feel the AirFit F20 against your head.

Benefits

The magnetic clips that come with the headgear help to guide the headgear to the frame assembly with ease. The AirFit F20 headgear is designed to reach above the ears and over the crown of the head before connecting at the base of the head. With four headgear connection points, the two upper flaps connect at the top of the mask frame with a cushion, while the two lower clips connect to magnets on the base of the mask frame. The replacement headgear strap is available in small, medium, and large.

Features

The ResMed AirFit F20 Full Face mask headgear is lightweight and provides CPAP users with a flexible frame that’s accommodating no matter what your head shape is. The F20 frame features are ideal for sleep therapy patients since they come in more than one size and are made of quality materials while providing a secure fit and reliable performance. And since the bands can be adjusted, fitting the headgear for custom results is convenient.

Do I Need a Prescription for This Product?

No, mask parts do not require a prescription for purchase. Often
you can prolong the life of your CPAP mask by replacing the headgear, a great
cost savings!

How Do I Know Which Headgear Size to Buy?

It is very important to confirm the correct model and size
of replacement mask headgear. 1.) While most CPAP masks use a standard headgear
size, some offer different sizes. 2.) Once a headgear has been opened from the original
packaging it cannot be returned. You can usually find the size of the headgear labeled
in the fabric, be sure to check there first. Not sure? Feel free to use our
live chat to speak with an agent for assistance.

How Often Should I Replace My Headgear?

Your mask cushion seal typically has a life span of 1-3 months,
however with proper care they can last up to 6 months. Signs of replacement will
be excessive mask leak and/or discoloration.

How Do I Clean My Mask Headgear?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most headgear straps is to handwash and
let air dry. DO NOT PUT HEADGEAR IN DRYER. It is important to clean your headgear
weekly to remove oils, makeup or dirt that can lead to mask leaks.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a CPAP mask headgear is
A7035.

No pain and great seal

So glad I tried these. Was having problems with sore areas around nose when using the silicone cushions. The memory foam seals great and does not damage my skin. Wish I had tried them sooner.

Causes burns on your face

I have had a BiPAP machine for 10 years. My current mask that I got from Respironics worked fine but I was told I couldn’t get it anymore. The CPAP company said I need this mask. I tried it and I love the fit however I got blisters and it burnt my skin. After a few days it my skin started peeling off. I have pictures to prove this. They need to take this off the market and let us know what is the mask is actually made of

Seal issues

I needed the large mask and decided to try the memory foam instead of the silicone. I to had problems with the seal, silicone worked better for me.
