AirSense 10 CPAP Machine

Copy of RX Required if Applicable to U.S Residents

The ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP machine is a fixed pressure device that delivers one set of prescribed pressure throughout the night, unlike auto-adjusting CPAP units that deliver variable pressure. It offers a built-in humidifier and integrated wireless communications capability (only available in the U.S) along with AHI.

What Sets the ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP Apart

The prescription-required ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP machine includes an integrated HumidAir humidifier, and the Easy-Breathe motor makes for a good night’s sleep while receiving CPAP therapy according to your prescription. With user-friendly controls, intuitive use comes quickly, and the AirSense includes AutoRamp with sleep onset for comfort. The AutoRamp feature increases pressure on inhalation and reduces pressure during exhalation. It comes with a travel bag for your equipment, too, for a reliable experience in a peaceful environment at home or away.

Advanced CPAP Capabilities

The whisper-quiet ResMed AirSense 10 CPAP comes with high-tech comfort features like EPR, SmartStart, and AutoRamp, and a humidifier chamber, along with basic therapy tracking capabilities to aid sleep apnea patients. Special Features of the AirSense 10 CPAP Machine

  • Quiet Easy-Breath Motor - The innovative design Easy-Breathe motor features foam and noise isolating materials incorporated into the base of the device. This produces minimal turbulence, delivering more performance, and virtually eliminates the noise radiated into the room, which makes for a peaceful rest.
  • Light Sensor - The machine also features an integrated light sensor that automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen to provide easier access to customize comfort settings at any time. Using the screen, make it simple to adjust the settings. Align the pressure settings with your prescribed level of treatment.
  • HumidAir Heated Humidifier - This AirSense 10 CPAP device with an integrated humidifier and water chamber is proven to help patients sleep better without drying out their mouth and nose during sleep therapy. This is built directly into your unit making it much smaller and simpler than other "integrated" humidifier options.
  • ClimateLine Tubing with Climate Control - When choosing the OPTIONAL ClimateLine Air Tubing with the AirSense 10, your machine will feature a set temperature and relative humidity at the mask while you sleep minimizing condensation and rainout in your heated tube.
  • Auto Ramp - The auto ramp time with sleep onset detection feature helps make airway pressure therapy comfortable from the moment you turn on your device.
  • Smart Start - The Smart Start function begins your sleep apnea therapy with low pressure to help as soon as you breathe into your mask.
  • Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) - Pressure relief, EPR, maintains effectiveness while lessening pressure during exhalation, making sleep therapy much more comfortable for the patient.
  • SD Data Card - SD Data Card is pre-installed in the unit. In addition, built-in wireless communications mean that you and your doctor can work together to ensure your treatment is progressing successfully.
  • Tubing Options - AirSense 10 CPAP comes with ResMed's heated ClimateLine Air however, you have the option to add the ultra-light SlimLine CPAP tubing which is 40% lighter than traditional CPAP tubing. To optimize your HumidAir Humidifier's capabilities the ClimateLine Air Heated Tubing should be used.

Q: How do I Adjust the AirSense/AirCurve 10 Comfort Settings?

A: To access and personalize your settings on the AirSense/AirCurve 10 machine, rotate the dial to highlight "My Options." Once the desired option is highlighted, press the dial to view and adjust your current settings.

Q: How Do I Adjust the Humidifier Settings?

A: In My Options, turn the dial to highlight Humidity Level and then press the dial.

Turn the dial to adjust the humidity level and press the dial to save the change. If you’re getting a dry nose or mouth, turn up the humidity. If you’re getting any moisture in your mask, turn down the humidity.

The humidifier enhances the air's moisture content, ensuring a more comfortable therapeutic experience. Equipped with the Climate Control enhanced Auto setting, this device automatically adjusts temperature and humidity to optimal levels for maximum comfort. Simply plug it in, press Start and enjoy a relaxing treatment.

You can also manually set the Humidity Level to Off or between 1 and 8, where 1 is the lowest humidity setting and 8 is the highest humidity setting. (Note: if you’re using a ClimateLineAir™ heated tube, you will need to turn the Climate Control setting on your device from “Auto” to “Manual” to access the humidity level setting.)

Q: How Do I Adjust Ramp Time?

A: In My Options, turn the dial to highlight Ramp Time and then press the dial.

Turn the dial to adjust the ramp time to your preferred setting and press the dial to save the change. Ramp Time is designed to make the beginning of therapy more comfortable and is the period during which the airflow pressure increases from a low start pressure to your prescribed treatment pressure. You can set your Ramp Time to Off, from 5 to 45 minutes.

Q: How Often Should I Replace AirSense/AirCurve 10 Machine Parts?

A: Regularly maintain your CPAP supplies, as dirt and wear can affect them. Check the water tub, air tubing, and filter frequently for damage.

Water Tank: Replace if it is leaking or has become cracked, cloudy or pitted. Replace if the seal is cracked or torn. Remove any white powder deposits using a solution of one part household vinegar to 10 parts water.

Hose Tubing: Replace if there are any holes, tears or cracks.

Machine Filter: Check the air filter and replace it at least every six months. Replace it more often if there are any holes or blockages by dirt or dust.

Great Machine

Satisfied with this purchase, seems like a lot of money, but well worth it. Easy to use and hook up. Really like the heated climate line, keeps out the moisture. I might also add that this company was great to work with. I had a few questions and they were very helpful. Will do business with them again.
