ResMed has equipped the S8 Escape™ II with a quieter motor and now comes with an improved EPR (Expiratory Pressure Relief) mode.

EPR™ Easy-Breathe Technology

Adjusting the EPR settings allows the Easy-Breathe Technology to drop the pressure upon exhalation so that breathing feels more "natural". A pressure Ramp is also available and provides for a slow and comfortable increase to your pressure setting while falling asleep.

The S8 Escape™ II offers an improved motor that outputs only 25 decibels at 10cmH20 measured at one meter away.

The S8™ Generation One motors average 30 Decibels, making the new motors 60% quieter. Fully customizable, the S8 Escape™ II has reminders for accessory replacements like your mask or machine filters. Take advantage of the remote downloading capabilities with the ResScan™ Data Card which provides usage data that helps you monitor compliance.

Fully Featured and Travel Sized

Compact and robust, the design of the S8 Series is portable and user-friendly, including Auto Altitude Adjustment to make sure the correct pressure is delivered when you travel. The H4i™ is constructed to give relief from symptoms such as dry nose or mouth, irritation, and congestion sometimes related to CPAP therapy without jeopardizing performance or convenience.

Great Machine--Great Humidifier--Fragile Water Container Felicia Andrews (Austin TX) 4/6/2012 7:35 AM I love the quiet operation and small profile for this machine. The heated humidifier is essential to my use of the machine. Unfortunately, the water tub in the humidifier breaks and leaks after about 2 months use. Insurance will only pay for a replacement every 6 months, so I am left without a humidifier for 4 months at a time. If I had my choice, I would find another machine that doesn't break so easily.

New to Cpap Florida Gal (Dade Co) 2/13/2010 5:22 PM Wasnt sure which machine to get but didnt want to pay a fortune for one I wouldnt like. Called 1800CPAP and they explained all the different machines and even called my doctor office to get my prescription. Havent used any other Cpap machine so I cant tell you a difference but my shopping expierience was great

I thought I would be getting a middle of the road CPAP but this thing literally runs like a dream. It is so quiet you cant even tell that it is on and I love the EPR feature...very comfortable CPAP. For the price, you cannot beat this CPAP
